Freelancing And Outsourcing Era

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

The age of freelancing and outsourcing has come of age. Even without the global recession, this is where business and employment has been heading for over a decade now, the financial meltdown just helped speed it up by a few years.

This is in part due to the internet opening the doors to the global market for anyone in every country. Some freelancers are just bored housewives while others are professionals that lost their jobs due to events not of their own making. With the global communication network that the internet has developed into, anyone can work from anywhere and still deliver top quality work to those that need it, independent of their location.

The site globfreelance.com was established to help dispel the misconception that outsourcing was only for IT workers when businesses in developed countries use BPOs in the third world. Outsourcing is so much more today. The new freelancers are from the professional ranks who are tired of having their expert talents only being compensated marginally. By eliminating the middle man, their previous employer, the freelancers of today have found freedom of employment without the constraints of the 9-to-5 job and all the headaches that go with it.

With over 80% of all new jobs and business being small enterprises after each recession in history, this is the time for the freelance experts to establish themselves in the world market place.

Outsourcing of work is the best way to get quality work done for the lowest price. This price factor can be the difference in a small company staying in business or folding. This fact is no longer just for the small entrepreneur. Today’s multinational businesses are outsourcing more and more each year. As an example, most of the engineering for vehicles is coming out of India instead of Germany or Detroit, unlike past years.

To help keep their overhead down, many of these new independent freelancers are moving to the third world. The cost of living is significantly less which allows their prices to be rock bottom. Price is the major force behind companies needing to outsource work. The main ingredient that is needed is to connect the freelance experts with the companies that need to outsource work.

Once a relationship has been established, many of these loosely connected partnerships stay together. This is in part due to the difficulty in finding reliable people by using the internet instead of face-to-face meetings. Sending money for work to an unknown person or doing work for someone without knowing them, or if you are going to get paid, is the risk of being independent. This problem has been solved with the payment process at globfreelance. By the payment being places in escrow, the freelance artist knows the outsourcing agent has the money to pay. By the money being held until the outsource agent is content with the work, they know the job will be done.

Move into the new age of employment with freelance experts and outsourcing of work with the assistance of globfreelance.com. The time of the independent worker has arrived.

Coming to Terms With Plastic Bags

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

I feel good about plastic bags. Plastic anything, really. It allows us to drink milk less wastefully, carry medicine safely and keep our cell phones intact. My weirdo coworker once challenged me to not touch plastic for 24 hours. No way. I laughed at him. I wear plastic on my head on my bike ride home. I put it in my ears when I listen to my headphones, and in my mouth when I brush my teeth. My uncle who is crazy and refuses to eat with silverware—seriously, schizophrenic—only uses plastic utensils. We’re becoming more reliant on plastic these days, not that it’s a bad thing.

You may have conflicting feelings about plastic bags. Are they good, are they bad, do they hurt baby turtles or are they the solution to the 21st century (as long as you don’t microwave them). Ultimately it’s about whether or not you want to use plastic, which indeed can be just as dangerous to baby turtles as it can be useful for carrying groceries. The key is to dispose of it accordingly, so it doesn’t wind up in the Great Plastic Gyre in the North Pacific.

There are lots of different uses for plastic in our day and age, and I can understand if you don’t like eating from it, but sometimes it’s just more convenient. It’s lighter than glass and takes less energy to recycle, so in a way it’s greener too.

The word plastic comes from the Greek plastikos and means capable of being molded. There are so many different forms of plastic, from polyethylene bags to plastic containers. The latter are thermoplastics, meaning plastics that don’t change in composition when heated. The former are thermosetting polymers. Petroleum and natural gas are the primary materials needed to make plastic.

As long as you take care to separate plastic bags and recycle them at your local supermarket, you will be doing your job. Smaller soiled plastic bags you can dispose of normally.

At the end of the day it’s impossible not to use plastic. It’s on our computers, in our cars, and in other places I don’t need to mention, which you can determine for yourself. Like it’s a game. Where do I see plastic that I hadn’t realized before. That’ll keep you busy for a while. But seriously. To get rid of plastic bags and poly mailers just because people don’t know how to dispose of it properly is a bit silly. Let’s make use of plastic the best way we know how, and recycle it when we’re done. That way we get to have our cake and eat it too.

Excellent Poly Bags provides plastic bags of all kinds, including custom orders. They have a wide variety of poly bags for companies in all fields of business.

Who Really Benefits From Joint Ventures?

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

You may have heard about joint ventures as a means of growing your customer base by partnering with a similar business to share resources and customer lists. However, many small business owners are hesitant to enter into one of these arrangements because they are unclear on exactly what the benefits are.

If you have been leery about seeking out a potential joint venture, consider the many benefits these arrangements might provide.

Benefits to Your Partners

The first question you might ask when considering a joint venture is why another business would be willing to work with you in such an arrangement. However, joint venture partners stand to reap numerous benefits from one of these agreements, whether they are a larger business, smaller company or a related business of a similar size. Some of the benefits include:

- Potential profits from commissions, particularly if they agree to work with your smaller business to help you build your own customer base

- Shared allocation of marketing tools that will help their business become more visible to a targeted customer base

- Additional customers for a lower price, if they are a smaller company than you

It’s important to keep these benefits in mind when you are wooing potential partners to make the arrangement look more attractive to those companies in which you are most interested.

Benefits to Your Customers

Even your customers benefit from your new JV partnership, although those advantages may not be immediately evident to them. Customer benefits include:

- Improved trust and confidence in your business, due to their past history with your JV partner

- The ability to find your company more effectively through targeted online marketing tools you and your partner share

- The ease of shopping among related businesses from information they receive from a single source

Additionally the customer benefits translate to benefits for your business, by increased sales and a healthier bottom line.

Benefits to You

If you did not stand to gain anything from a joint venture, there would be no point to spending the time and energy to form them, right? The good news is that there are many potential benefits you may enjoy, including:

- An increase in targeted customers and sales

- More effective marketing so you get the best value for your advertising dollar

- If you partner with smaller business, you might enjoy additional revenue from commissions on your partner’s sales

- The ability to improve your reputation and trust among potential customers by cozying up with businesses they already work with

When an effective joint venture is established, all involved parties stand to gain from the arrangement. JVs allocate the necessary resources to effectively advertise to a targeted market with a smaller advertising investment and a greater return. Your customers enjoy greater consumer confidence in shopping with companies related to businesses they already have a relationship with. Finally, your increased sales and bigger customer base will benefit your own company where it counts, your bottom line.

Even If Your Marketing Budget Is Limited You Can Still Get Great Results

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

Many home based online entrepreneurs are faced with the constraints of having to market with a very small budget while their larger counterparts are able to spend their money with greater freedom on advertising. It is not all “doom and gloom” though because it is a fact that the internet has allowed the fields to be leveled off considerably. The key to making a success of an online business is by understanding the best way to spend the money that is available in your limited marketing budget. Although it is great to drive organic traffic by boosting search engine rankings and by networking on the social network sites like Twitter and Facebook, there are various other income opportunities that you should take advantage of.

Here are some ideas on methods to use for excellent results while at the same time still staying within your limited marketing budget:

In all likelihood you will be spending some of your limited budget on paid advertising, so the marketing plan that you use is very important, and some of the aspects that you take into consideration are essential before you spend any of your budget at all.

To begin with you should do some research, specifically focusing on your competition as well as your target market, and when it comes to your target market you must be as specific as possible. The two reasons for this are as follows, it will ensure that your adverts are attractive and appeal to your target audience and even more essential is that your advertising appears in the places that your desired audience spends their time.

The benefit of researching your competition is that it will help you to discover what is working for them and what does not work. Discover where they spend the major portion of their advertising budget as this is where you will find the premium location and you can also see the kind of adverts that are best at capturing the attention of your targeted audience.

There are 3 main points to keep in mind when it comes to the actual advertisement – see that you provide some credible social proof and practice using a sense of urgency and a clear call to action. Follow these 3 steps and you will see that your advertisements will get a much better click through rate. Also be sure to have a landing page that is tailored to your specific market so that you can benefit from maximum results for minimum cost. Because this kind of advertising is not free it is vitally important that you make it as effective as you possibly can.

It is not important whether you are marketing on a small budget or a large one or how much you invest in paid advertising, the main point is that you get started as soon as possible. When you set up a solid marketing strategy and leverage the lessons that you learn from your competition, not only will you save time and money, but your marketing on a limited budget will go a long way to getting you maximum exposure for your legitimate online home based businesses.

About Industrial Ventilation Fans And Employee Health And Safety

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

Industrial ventilation fans can serve many useful, or even necessary purposes in a variety of applications. They help maintain product quality, increase production efficiency, reduce production costs, and protect equipment investments from unnecessary wear. Perhaps most importantly they help protect worker health and safety.

Dust extraction equipment is in use in fiberglass fabrication, food processing, mining, woodworking, paper, rubber grinding, welding, and laser and plasma cutting industries. It is useful for the recollection of valuable powder and bulk solids for reuse in solar cell fabrication and pharmaceutical production, and in processes like blasting.

Dust extraction systems and fume extraction arms help to satisfy the extreme filtration requirements of clean rooms in electronics and computer chip manufacturing facilities. These prevent excessive rework of defective product. They also serve to protect machinery from excessive and unnecessary abrasion or corrosion by removing particles and chemicals from the air.

These systems help prevent production delays by controlling the amount of cleaning needed in the work area. When these particulates and chemicals are removed from the air they will no longer settle on work surfaces. Modern factory equipment utilizing computers is sensitive to impurities in the environment, and will cease functioning when exposed to them.

More importantly, local exhaust ventilation is necessary in many processes like electroplating, etching and chemical production to suppress toxins and contaminants which are hazardous to the health of humans working in the area. Industry standards are set by organizations like the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Regulatory rules for exposure and emission are propagated by agencies such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Adequate ventilation can eliminate the need for more costly equipment like personal respirators. This type of equipment can be cumbersome and may interfere with efficient work. Compliance with company or regulatory rules mandating the use of it is often difficult to monitor and enforce.

Periodically collecting samples for testing will ensure that standards are being met and employees’ health is being protected and they are receiving the respect that will help retain the most proficient and capable workers. A bench test will identify and quantify the physical properties of the indoor air. In this way safe levels of exposure can be maintained.

Inert but otherwise unpleasant substances can also be monitored. These can also be tested for explosivity. Combustible particles or chemicals in the air in sufficient densities can ignite rapidly. During the period 1980 to 2008 there were more than 350 such incidents in the United States, in which 133 people were killed and hundreds were injured.

The simple and relatively inexpensive precaution of installing adequate industrial ventilation fans specifically designed and tested for the their intended use can save considerable costs in shutdown avoidance, improved production quality, decreased equipment maintenance, and avoiding fines and liabilities. They can also save the health and extend the lives of the employees that are needed on the job to make the business successful. Workers Compensation expenses, litigation costs, judgements, and punitive awards in suits for negligence or willful injury can run into millions of dollars.

Local Fume extraction systems and Fume extraction arms are a perfect solution as contaminants can be collected for recovery or safe disposal.

How To Create A Top Quality Online Article Directory?

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

By Krung Thep

“The pen is mightier than the sword” said Cardinal Richelieu some 160 years ago. He could not have imagined how true this may turn out to be. Years ago only the very fortunate had the privilege to write for fun or to make a living. Nowadays, however, thanks to blogging platforms and article directories, anyone can tell a story and receive responses from around the world. For example, if you really wanted to know what went down in Vietnam, you had to travel all the way to Bangkok and talk to a complete stranger in a bar frequented by foreigners. The GI who never left Asia can now tell his story and initiate a dialogue with anyone who has access to the Internet.

What started out to be fun and entertaining has turned into something else. Thumbing through the directories and the author profiles, one notices something strange: there are way too many articles (there are authors who churn out a thousand or so a year) and their content looks awfully familiar. This begs at least two questions. The first, is there a unique content in these articles that cannot be found elsewhere via Google, Bing or Wikipedia? The second, if people need information where do you think they go: article directories or search engines and Wikis? The fact is, commercial interest has discovered article directories and flooded servers with (perhaps well written but otherwise) useless content.

Let us see if we can kick this up by a couple of notches. Here is what I am proposing:

Research. Before you even attempt to write anything, do your research to see if the content is already well covered elsewhere. In the past research tools were available for academics only, but today, thanks to search technologies and Wikis, free and powerful tools are abundant.

References. If the content turns out to be worthy, then the author would be required to list 5-10 relevant sources where similar work has been published before. These references must be cited inside the paper and explanation must be given as to how the current article is different from the existing body of knowledge.

Review. Each article would be reviewed by at least two reviewers or Editors both for presentation and for content. The presentation should be checked for grammar and the content should be verified for novelty. Currently uniqueness may be checked by Copyscape which only cheeks for duplication, i.e. an article that is well-spun may pass Copyscape, however, it may not have anything novel, i.e. it would not pass the Editor.

Revision. If the article pleases the Editors in both presentation as well as novelty, then a revision may be necessary based on their review comments. The revised article is then resubmitted and the process continues until it is ready for publication.

Archival. The name of the game should not be publication but rather archival. Articles with archival value have impact, which in turn generates visibility as well as authority. What is the point publishing an article on how to register a domain name when there are already 71 million pages that cover the subject thoroughly?

The system above would eliminate a large percentage of submissions, but it would significantly elevate the prestige of the directory by paying respect to the God of three treasures: high quality, relevance and significant impact. Doing the same thing over and over again would not get you anywhere: publishing ten archival quality articles a year would buy you more respect than a thousand whose content is much better covered in Wikipedia.

If you want to compete in the thriving online business, iBusiness Solutions are recommended to increase visibility, build a brand and boost revenues.

Outsource to a Bookkeeping Service

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

Outsourcing various functions of your company’s operations has long been a cost effective and viable alternative to hiring in house. And some functions in comparison to others can be outsourced with little concern for the impact it will have on your competitive edge. But did you know that outsourcing the bookkeeping process is typically at the top of the list for most recommended function to outsource?

Outsourcing your bookkeeping may be misconstrued by owners as “losing control.” But the truth is nothing of that sort. In fact, working with a bookkeeping service, one that provides accurate and up to date financial statements, will actually put you back “in control.” And believe it or not, outsourcing your bookkeeping is actually more cost effective than hiring in house.

Small business bookkeeping can be overwhelming for an owner, especially when you need to be devoting most, if not all, of your work day accommodating clients and making sure other matters besides the books are in order. You really can’t be spending hours fumbling over numbers.

And if you hire a full-time in house bookkeeper you will likely find that you are paying too much for the same level of service professional bookkeeping firms provide, especially when you consider the additional expense associated with that unnecessary employee – payroll tax, vacation and sick days, health insurance and other employee benefits. This is money well saved that can instead be used for other business endeavors or simply saved for future use. And, with an outsource bookkeeping firm there will be no delays on the submission of reports or paperwork.

So, it is now clear that outsourcing is a viable alternative to hiring in house, an option to be considered seriously. But not all outsourcing firms are created equal. Sure, you could outsource to an international firm at a fraction of the cost of outsourcing to a local or even national firm, but the difference in quality can be enormous, and communication barriers insurmountable. But if you choose a local or national firm that specializes in your industry you will not only benefit from the superior quality attributable to sharing a shared location and common language, but also the superior quality associated with the knowledge and experience that only an industry specialist can deliver, providing you with an additional competitive edge.

Outsourcing is indeed a powerful business tool. And outsourcing your bookkeeping is the first step in utilizing that tool for improving your overall profitability and efficiency.

Profitas LLC is a full-service bookkeeping company specializing in small business bookkeeping that will increase the productivity and efficiency of your business while saving you money.

Thailand Property: Condominiums And Other Types Of Real Estate

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

This article was designed to provide some insight as well as an overview to those researching Thai legal matters pertaining to property and real estate. Those seeking legal advice regarding such matters should contact a Thai law office employing both Thai and English speaking legal professionals.

There are several different kinds of Thai property and many different individuals decide to purchase different real estate instruments which confer differing obligations and privileges. For example, the use of a Thai usufruct could permit the holder of such an instrument virtually unfettered enjoyment of specified types of real property in Thailand. Meanwhile, a lease agreement allows the person leasing property to enjoy the use of said real estate for a specified period of time. Those who wish to have a Thai lease drafted are prudent to contact a law firm in Thailand prior to making any binding decisions since Thai law specifies that lease agreements over a certain duration must be recorded at the Thai land department lest the language of the lease be later rendered unenforceable.

Many people interested in purchasing Thai real estate look at the possibility of utilizing a Thai corporate structure to own land. In the past, this type of structure was more common, but presently use of a Thai limited company for such purposes has seemed to decline as relevant officials in Thailand apparently enforce restrictions against this practice more stringently. Nevertheless, it may be possible for certain companies to purchase land in the Kingdom. For instance, in some cases companies with Board of Investment certification may be able to purchase land in Thailand notwithstanding the presence of foreign shareholders in the company.

Many alien nationals in Thailand contemplate the purchase of land in the Kingdom. In nearly all instances it is not feasible for a non-Thai national to obtain clear title to land in Thailand. In Thailand real property title deeds are referred to as Chanotes. Such instruments practically operate in much the same manner as fee simple absolute real estate titles in a country such as the USA. That stated, obtaining a Chanote for land in Thailand by a foreigner is extremely difficult. Although, it might be possible to acquire freehold title to a Condominium in Thailand.

Pursuant to the Thai Condominium Act, it may be feasible for a foreign national to acquire a Chanote freehold title deed for a Thai condo. That said, in order to obtain such title the condominium in question must comport with relevant provisions of Thai real estate law. Therefore, those foreign nationals seeking to obtain such title are well advised to retain the services of a Thai law office which employs both Thai and foreign attorneys since explaining Thai legal principles in an international context can prove to be integral for full understanding of relevant Thai regulations.

How Internet Car Insurance Saves Money And Time

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

Has your old car insurer been doing a good job lately? Have they been keeping rates down while providing you with great service? If so, you are lucky. If not, you have a lot of ways to look for a better deal without taking up a lot of time. With so many US car insurance companies competing for your business, you do not have to accept high prices and service problems any longer.

The car insurance market is very crowded today. Many large companies are fighting for business. One tactic they use is to offer lots of free information on the Internet. You can find Internet car insurance quotes on dozens of websites.

Some of these are posted on the websites of actual companies, and they can list the plans and prices for that particular company. Better yet, you can even find systems that allow you to compare multiple car insurance quotes in one plans. You can use these systems at your own personal convenience. Any PC with an Internet connection will do. You may even be able to use them from your web enabled phone!

When you request multiple car insurance quotes, you get the luxury of seeing a handful of different companies in one place. The best thing about these new quote systems is that they actually can match our profile with interested companies. This is a quick and simple way to find out if you can get a better deal from another company!

There is another problem with staying with your old company a long time. The market changes all the time. Insurers always come up with new ways to attract business. But if you have been rolling along with your same insurer, you may not be aware of all of these new opportunities to save money.

If you have a perfect driving record, you can still have an opportunity to save. Every insurer wants your business! If your rates have gone up because of a ticket or accident, you may really find these useful. In fact, drivers who have had some problems may even benefit more from comparing different companies.

Did you know that people who do not drive a lot may qualify for a discount just because they do not put a lot of miles on their cars? This only seems to make sense, but many drivers do not know they could get cheaper rates because they seldom drive. If you have joined a car pool, only drive back and forth to your kid’s school, or work from home, you may take advantage ofthis discount!

One insurer even takes this another step. They will install a device on your car that records your driving habits and mileage. This information allows them to determine if you are the type of driver who should qualify for the very best rates. If you think you have good driving habits, or seldom drive, this could be the perfect program for you!

No matter what sort of driver you are, you could benefit from doing some insurance shopping! You may find another company that will offer you better prices and better coverage. You may decide that your old company is fine. Either way, the choice is yours. The quote system just helps you shop.
